Lois Howard King, 95, of Kinston, NC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Never too busy to lend a helping hand, Lois spent her entire life putting others’ needs before her own. In her later years, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The wisdom and unconditional love that she shared with her family and friends will be with us always.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Hill; three sisters, Cleo McGrann, Margaret Futrell, and her twin, Sudie Hood; and brother, Donald Futrell. Ludie was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She retired from DuPont in Kinston, NC after many years of work. Cynthia Rene Cook Faulkner, 61, of Deep Run, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Cook, and brother, Jeff Cook.

He was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and truly a Godly... Luanne Miller, 57, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Warsaw Health and Rehab Center in Warsaw. Luanne was always the life of the party and the sunshine in the room. She never met a stranger – even on a cruise ship!

She is survived by her sister, Jewel Dunn ; nieces and nephews, Randall Dunn , Derreck Williams... He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Gabriele. Rob is lovingly remember by daughters, Roberta and Nancy of Frankfurt and his nephew Curtis of Texas USA. Wanda Faye Clark Kordulewski Jacksonville Wanda Faye Kordulewski left this earthly realm on November 22, 2022, after a long battle with cancer and many other Illnesses. The love of her life William was by her side until the very end. Wanda was precedd in death by her parents, Irene and Joseph Clark.

Stacy grew up in rural Trimble, MO on the family farm until 1987 when they moved to Plattsburg, MO. Thelma “Shorty” Leora Carraway-Hill, 79, of Kinston, went home... He was preceded in death by his parents, William Randolph Thompson and... Jerry was born on February 26, 1982, to Jerry & Dell King Howard in Kinston, NC. Jerry graduated from South Lenoir High School in the class of 2000. He received an athletic scholarship for baseball and went on to play for the Lenoir Community College Lancers.

Timothy Ray Pike “Timmy” passed away very unexpectedly on Friday December 9, 2022. Timmy was one of the most genuine, loving, giving and caring people you will ever meet. He loved completely, gave unselfishly and cared for everyone. Timmy grew up in Jones County and attended Jones County Public Schools. Upon graduation with the Jones Senior Class of 1977, he began his career in heavy equipment mechanics.

Peggy Amelia Mitchell Davis, October 19, 1939 – December 3, 2022, passed away Saturday at UNC Lenoir Health Care. She was the daughter of the late Leacy Mae Dunn Mitchell and Henry Murphy Mitchell. Peggy was the loving wife of the late Amos Franklin Davis, Sr.
Robert Earl Thigpen, 85, went home to be with Jesus Saturday, December 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Josephine Thigpen and two brothers, Edward Thigpen and Elwood Thigpen. Earl is survived by his wife Carolyn Ann Thigpen, daughter Rebecca Thigpen King and husband Darryl, brother Hollis Thigpen and wife Sandy, two grandchildren Meredith King and Evan King. He was a member of Sandy Plain Original Free Will Baptist Church.

He also worked as a chauffeur, and in his spare time he love outdoor sports. He passed peacefully in the presence of his family at Bürgerhospital on December 12, 2022.
Greg was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, spending time with his family, and riding motorcycles with his buddies. He was a hard worker with a giving heart and was always willing to help those who needed it.
