Derek Carr took a large step forward in 2016 showing he has the leadership ability to lead his team to the playoffs. He is most certainly a top-10 quarterback, but is he elite? He can prove it by closing out the season on the road against a division opponent with the AFC West title on the line. The Raider defense again struggled, giving up 343 total yards while the offense struggled as well, managing only 274 yards.

Putting away an inferior team at home is what elite quarterback do. If Carr is elite, he should feast on a Jets team that needs a lot of help on both sides of the ball. If the Raiders are able to sign Beast Mode for 2017, we could watch the passing of the torch.
