Derek Carr took a large step forward in 2016 showing he has the leadership ability to lead his team to the playoffs. He is most certainly a top-10 quarterback, but is he elite? He can prove it by closing out the season on the road against a division opponent with the AFC West title on the line. Putting away an inferior team at home is what elite quarterback do. If Carr is elite, he should feast on a Jets team that needs a lot of help on both sides of the ball. If the Raiders are able to sign Beast Mode for 2017, we could watch the passing of the torch.
